What is a human search engine?
Unlike regular search engines all links are placed by humans. Humans also
conduct searches on your behalf. Regular search engines use algorithms to get
results, whereas humans can ask questions about your search to get the results
relevant to your search,
Why do we need a human search engine?
Regular search engines will always get you results, however you will have to filter
through these results as there will be items irrelevant to your particular search.
This is where humans come in. By using common sense and logic, as well as
being able to ask questions, human assistants filter the results for you.
Will this service always be free or do you plan to charge for it in the
future?
This service will always be free, we will never charge you for it. We use affiliate
links in our search results, so receive referral commissions from advertisers. This
generates our income so we will never need to ask for a fee to use this site.
How do I get my results?
Presently your results are sent to you by email. Once we have implemented Live
Chat you will receive your results in real time. We will still keep the email facility
after live chat has been implemented, to allow those that are extremely busy to
come back to their results later.
Do you think human search engines will take over from regular ones such
as Google, Yahoo etc...?
We think regular search engines are wonderful tools, and do not believe that
human search engines will take over from them. We do however believe that
regular search engines and human search engines can work very well alongside
each other. The purpose of a human search engine should not be to take over
from regular search engines but rather to help those that are finding it difficult or
too time consuming to conduct regular searches.
Do your assistants use regular search engines to conduct searches?
As we use affiliate links, we tend to use our own extensive search base for results.
This is why the results you get from us will be different to those you get from a
regular search engine. However from time to time we may not have a link on our
search base and may use regular search engines instead, especially on hard to
find items..
